City of Canterbury

The infamous, and highly revered history and heritage of Canterbury is known throughout the world (the tale of murdered ex-Archbishop-cum-Saint Thomas Becket a fine example of this).

Starting with Roman foundations, the city went on to be a pilgrimage site in the middle ages.

As pretty as they come, make sure to have a day out wandering through the cobbled streets, ancient walls and timber houses.
